The TheraSuit® Method uses specific exercises and equipment to improve range of motion, posture, balance, flexibility and function. The main device used in this method is called a TheraSuit®, which was originally designed by NASA for astronauts. This soft brace enhances postural control to allow isolated exercises within a normal pattern of movement.
The TheraSuit® Method is not taught in physical therapy schools. Our physical therapists completed specialized training to learn how to provide this type of therapy.

What to Expect
The TheraSuit® comes in different sizes, so your physical therapist can find the right size for you. The TheraSuit® uses elastic bands to help align the parts of your body to a normal posture. This will help you relearn proper movement. You might use the TheraSuit® alone or together with ongoing therapy.
Once the suit is on, you will practice moving with it. The elastic bands apply pressure on specific muscles and joints to retrain them. When you first start using the TheraSuit®, the bands will act as a support system for your muscles. But over time, your physical therapist will tighten them to provide resistance, which will help strengthen your muscles.
