The Ophthalmology Clinic combines two divisions under one roof; the Diabetic Eye Clinic and the Residents' Clinic.

The Diabetic Eye Clinic is unique in that it provides comprehensive eye care to diabetic patients. The Diabetic Eye Clinic has seven providers, including one optometrist, one comprehensive ophthalmologist and two retina specialists.

In this clinic, state-of-the-art equipment is used for the testing and treatment of the disease. We have recently added visual photography to our clinic to view the most important part of the eye prone to diabetes, the retina. Tests such as fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, using special color lights and dyes, allow the doctors to view parts of the eye previously not accessible by standard photographic techniques. Doctors view these photographs digitally to get the best view of areas in question. This allows the patient to receive the best care and eye treatment.
