I completed medical school at the University of Aleppo and completed my internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Afterwards, I completed my general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Emory University. I then joined the Minneapolis Heart Institute for a year of advanced adult structural and congenital heart disease interventions.
My special interests are in structural heart interventions, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), balloon valvuloplasty, paravalvular leak repair, percutaneous valve implantation and other similar therapies.
I have authored over 100 published manuscripts. My research has been recognized by various medical associations. I earned the Junior Investigator Award for the best article authored by a junior investigator and published in the Annals of internal medicine for my work, "Use of High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin for the Exclusion of Inducible Myocardial Ischemia.”
I was also a finalist for multiple young investigator awards by the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and Heart Failure Society of America. I was an invited author for a Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association about Drug Induced Arrhythmias, published in October 2020.
When not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and cycling.
