Urology Services in San Antonio

From Common to Complex Urology Conditions, We Have You Covered

The urology specialists at University Health are singularly focused on getting you back to feeling like your regular self. We understand that some urologic conditions may cause embarrassment. We focus on compassionate, expert medical care for common urologic conditions, complex surgical procedures and everything in between.

Newest Proven Urology Procedures & Treatments

Our doctors investigate new tests and treatments to make sure you have access to every possible safe, effective option. We are the only facility in San Antonio to offer the new UroNav fusion system for prostate biopsy. This procedure is faster and less invasive than other biopsy methods.

We also have a specialty biofeedback clinic in conjunction with UT Health San Antonio. The South Texas Pelvic Floor and Bladder Center at University Hospital offers the most advanced technology and treatment for conditions including urinary incontinence.

When you need surgery, we offer minimally invasive robotic procedures from our fellowship-trained surgeons. The precision of robotic surgery allows you to maintain your urologic function and recover faster.

Nursing Care

We are the first health system in San Antonio and South Texas to earn the prestigious nursing Magnet designation. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) awards this recognition only to healthcare providers with a proven track record for providing excellent care and positive outcomes.

University urologists treat hundreds of people every year with common and complex urologic conditions including overactive bladder, erectile dysfunction, infertility in men and urologic cancer.

Testing & Diagnosis

We get to the bottom of your symptoms and recommend tests to thoroughly diagnose your condition. This ensures that you get the right care at the right time to help you get back to normal as quickly as possible. Tests we use include bladder ultrasound, cystoscopy and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test.

Least invasive treatment first is our philosophy. If your condition can be treated with biofeedback, for example, let’s do that before talking about surgical options. When surgery is the best option, we provide state-of-the-art procedures, including robotics, from experienced, caring specialists.
