As a nationally recognized academic medicine center, University Health provides specialized treatment for a wide range of cancers and blood disorders. We understand the physical and emotional complexities of cancer. We’re here for you and your family throughout every stage of your journey to provide expert, compassionate care and treatment.
Leaders in Cancer Care
Our cancer programs are accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). This accreditation assures that we provide access to a range of services needed to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support cancer patients and their families. In addition, our cancer program is recognized as a designated Center of Excellence by the insurance carrier OptumHealth.
University Health also is one of only four organizations in Texas recognized as a Breast Center of Excellence. This honor from the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC) represents a commitment to provide the highest level of quality breast care to patients.
We are also recognized for our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program, which is dedicated to the unique medical and psychosocial needs of patients aged 15 to 39.
Our medical team works diligently to give you every advantage of the latest advances in cancer treatments and therapies. We also go above and beyond to connect you to community resources that can help you navigate the demands of life while dealing with the complications of cancer.
