Ginnie Abarbanell, MD, is the chief of pediatric cardiology at the Pediatric Heart Center in San Antonio. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, and completed her residency in pediatrics at Loma Linda University. Dr. Abarbanell completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She most recently served as the associate professor of cardiac pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis.
Elaine Maldonado-Campbell, MD, is an associate professor of pediatrics and director of Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Services at UT Health San Antonio. She is the director of student and resident education for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and co-director of medical student education in Cardiology for the Long School of Medicine. Dr. Maldonado is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, completed her residency at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and her fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
Steven R. Neish, MD, SM, is a professor of pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio, and holds the Richard S. Wayne Distinguished Chair in Pediatric Cardiology. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota and a Master of Science degree from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.Ashley Cooley, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatric cardiology at UT Health San Antonio. Originally from the San Antonio area, she is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. Her current areas of interest include pediatric cardiac genetics and cardiac imaging.
