Edward (Ed) Banos, who brings a wealth of experience from leadership roles at healthcare organizations across the country, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of University Health System.

Hernández Jr., CEO of University Health System.
Before joining Duke LifePoint, Mr. Banos was president and CEO of Good Shepherd Health System in Longview, Texas. Before that, he served as CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s North Shore Medical Center in Miami, and COO of Tenet’s Park Plaza Hospital in Houston.
