Honored for commitment to exemplary employee learning & development
University Health System has earned a 2015 LearningElite gold award from Chief Learning Officer magazine for the quality of its employee learning and development programs. University Health System joins corporate giants such as Hilton Worldwide, Procter & Gamble Distributing, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Nationwide, among the 52 organizations from across the country to be honored this year.
“I’m proud of our staff for achieving this award of excellence in innovation and commitment across all levels of our organization,” said University Health System President/CEO George B. Hernández Jr. “The award honors every employee who took the initiative and the time to participate in the various learning opportunities and development programs offered within our organization.”
University Health System was recognized for its learning and development initiatives, including its Onboarding initiative for new staff and the use of e-Learning modules to reach employees working different shifts throughout its various locations.
The LearningElite program recognizes excellence among employee learning and development programs in five key measures: learning strategy, learning impact, leadership commitment, learning execution and business performance results.
“Every year the number of applications we receive grows, which is a great sign for the learning industry,” added Sarah Kimmel, director of research and advisory services for HCM. “While our rigorous metrics and high standard for inclusion in the program remain consistent, we are seeing more organizations striving to surpass the benchmark and qualify. We look forward to seeing how these initiatives strengthen the global workforce in the years ahead.”
