Chief Learning Officer magazine’s LearningElite and Editor’s Choice Awards Presented at Gala
University Health System was presented with a 2012 LearningElite award from Chief Learning Officer magazine at a gala dinner held at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla. University Health System was ranked number 43 in the award competition. More than 200 companies applied.
Developed under the guidance of chief learning officers and senior workforce development practitioners, the CLO LearningElite is the only peer-based benchmarking initiative in the industry. This pioneering program utilizes best practices in evaluation to objectively assess both the scope and the value of the learning and development services that companies provide. It recognizes excellence in five key L&D performance indicators: learning strategy, learning execution, learning impact (internal), business performance results (external) and leadership commitment.
“The competition in this, our second year benchmarking of workforce learning and development, was very competitive. The organizations that achieved LearningElite status really stood out as offering world-class programs that contributed significant business impact for their companies,” said Dr. Stacey Boyle, vice president of the magazine’s Human Capital Media Advisory Group. “From the tremendous variety of LearningElite organizations, it is apparent that there is a tremendous thirst for a benchmarking effort like this in the industry.”
“Chief Learning Officer is proud to recognize organizations such as University Health System who embody the true spirit of employee learning and development and make it a very real part of their culture,” said Norm Kamikow, editor in chief, Chief Learning Officer magazine. “This type of commitment is what allows an organization to build strong leaders who can carry out the company’s mission and values every day while growing personally and professionally.”
