PGY2 Application Process (Ambulatory Care)

Application Requirements

In order to be considered for this residency, the applicant must:

  1. Possess a strong interest in ambulatory care pharmacy practice
  2. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  3. Complete an ACPE-accredited PharmD Degree program
  4. Be enrolled in or complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
  5. Participate in the ASHP Resident Matching Program

Once accepted into the residency program, candidates should submit a completed Job Application by May 1 and obtain a Registered Pharmacist License in the state of Texas by August 1.

Application Materials

The applicant must submit the following application materials via the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS):

  1. Letter of interest/intent
  2. Current curriculum vitae
  3. 3 professional letters of recommendation
  4. Official college of pharmacy transcripts
  5. Recent photograph (color or black & white), optional
