The Fitness Center Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain field experience at one of the leading organizations combating Diabetes. Students will work directly with the fitness center team in fulfilling the center’s mission of providing a safe space for patients to meet their wellness goals through exercise and health education. The Fitness Center Internship is available for qualified undergraduate and graduate students from universities, schools, colleges and training programs. Post-graduates may also be eligible for the internship based on their skills and/or experience. Post-graduates out of school for more than two years are ineligible.
The MPH/ MHA Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain field experience under the supervision of the Patient Education Department director at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Interns will help fulfill the department’s mission of providing resources, comprehensive health education, and support for the prevention and management of diabetes and other chronic disease. The MPH/ MHA Internship is available for qualified graduate students and post-graduates. Post-graduates out of school for more than two years are ineligible.
