Thanks for Connecting with University Health
We are honored to collaborate with physicians from San Antonio and across Texas to help them refer patients to UT Health San Antonio specialists and transfer patients to University Hospital.
We invite you to learn more about fellowships, residencies and other educational opportunities.
We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you on the care of your patients and are committed to delivering excellent support to you and your patient. You can refer your patient for diagnostics, treatment, second opinions, consultations and follow-up care.
University Health provides a one-call patient transfer system for adults and children, making transferring a patient to University Hospital easy. We make every effort to include family in the transfer process and provide transport assistance services for maternal and neonatal transports.
We strive to create a workplace in which nurses can achieve their highest level of professional practice. As the first Magnet designated health care organization in San Antonio and South Texas, we offer the gold standard in nursing care to our patients while insuring core values, professional collaboration, clinical nurse leadership and nursing practice excellence.
We believe professional development through education is essential for nurses to become the best nurse possible. We encourage and support our nursing staff to seek their baccalaureate degree and beyond.
At University Health, the float pool is hospital-wide. Full- and part-time nurses who are part of the pool have flexible schedules, work in multiple locations, earn competitive wages and benefit from a great work environment.
Through University Health Foundation, individuals and businesses can invest in the future of nursing by helping a student become the nurse we need tomorrow. Join us and pledge your financial support for the nursing scholarship fund today!
