Scheduling an Appointment

Unfortunately, there are currently no vaccine appointments available. When we are able to schedule large numbers of appointments, we will open appointments on this webpage.

If you would like to be notified when we are able to schedule appointments in bulk, please subscribe to our Health Focus newsletter and/or download our mobile app. At that time, we will send an alert email to our subscribers and a push notification through our app.

Vaccinations for People Age 80 and Older

People 80 years of age and older may come to the Wonderland of the Americas COVID-19 Vaccination Center or St. Philip's College to receive the vaccine without an appointment. Persons aged 16 – 79 are required to have an appointment, unless they come to the St. Philip’s location during walk-in hours.

Since we book appointments in advance of receiving vaccine from the state, please check this website the Friday before your scheduled appointment to ensure vaccine has arrived and your appointment is confirmed:

  • Week of Apr. 12: All scheduled appointments are confirmed.

Getting Ready for Your Appointment

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early for your appointment. Be sure to bring a photo ID and a mask or face-covering.

Please check your confirmation for the location of your vaccination.

St. Philip’s College COVID-19 Vaccination Center is located inside the library building at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive.

Wonderland of Americas is located at 4522 Fredericksburg Road at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Loop 410. We are providing vaccinations at two locations inside the mall. Please check your confirmation to see if you should go to the upper or lower level location.

VIA Metropolitan Transit offers free bus rides to those with vaccine appointments. There are several routes traveling to the Crossroads transit station next to Wonderland. You can Map your ride online. 

If you are driving to Wonderland or St. Philip's, there is plenty of convenient and free parking. 

At the time of vaccination, you will receive a card with information about the vaccine you received. This information is recorded in the state immunization registry, so you can be sure you will receive the correct second dose. You will also receive an appointment for your second dose before you leave.

What to Expect After Your Vaccination

Side effects of a COVID-19 vaccination can be fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, tiredness and pain or swelling in the arm where you got your shot. These are normal signs that your body is building protection. These side effects can be worse after the 2nd dose but, usually resolve in a few days. Consult with your doctor about taking any over-the-counter pain medication such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to help with these symptoms or if you are still experiencing side effects after a few days. Even after vaccination it’s important to keep using a mask or face-covering and keeping your distance when around others outside your home, and washing your hands often to help stop the spread of COVID-19 as we continue to learn more about immunity and protection provided by these vaccines.

If You Need to Cancel Your Appointment

If you have a first dose appointment but are not able to come on the day you are scheduled, you have up to 2 days after your appointment to come in.

If you cannot make your second dose appointment, please come in as soon as you can. The center is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can use the appointment cancellation form but your dose will not go to waste even if you are unable to complete the form online. If you need to switch the name assigned to your appointment, please come to the Wonderland site in person.
