Jun8A trauma team responds to a mass casualty and works to prevent othersThe Uvalde school shooting was not the first mass casualty shooting for the University Health trauma team. They treated victims wounded in the Sutherland Springs shooting in 2017. That first experience led to programs aimed at improving the survival of those severely injured. The team is also reaching out to gun owners and those who don’t have guns with recommendations that could reduce firearm injuries.
Orientation for New Employees
Welcome to Our Team
As a valued team member, you are University Health’s greatest asset. We could not accomplish the great things we do without your support and dedication.
Beginning the Orientation Process
During your new hire orientation, we introduce you to all the benefits of working at the University Health, provide you with a chance to interact with other employees and more.
Participate in “Gamification,” an interactive board game using your phone, where you compete with other teams asking and answering questions. Gamification is an engaging and creative method for setting goals and achieving milestones, while helping retain all the new information a new employee has to know.
As a contract employee or vendor, you are an important member of our extended staff. It is important that you understand and comply with our policies concerning customer service, safety and infection control.
