Program Manager – CareLink

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Assists CareLink Executive Director with the analysis of large and complex data sets using a logical, systematic approach to problem solving involving mathematical and statistical techniques and/or innovative /quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations to resolve business problems and drive change. The work performed by the Program Manager involves gathering, manipulating and synthesizing data (e.g., attributes, transactions, behaviors, etc.), models and other relevant information to draw conclusions and make recommendations resulting in implementable strategies. The decision science work includes, synthesis and analysis and will encompass population-health, geospatial analysis and related functions considered central to fact-based decision-making to aid in the provision of services to CareLink members and understand patterns of utilization. Collaborates with internal and external departments for purposes of data collection, analysis, project management and implementation. Creates customized reports based on data analysis and participates in efforts to improve and drive operational performance and will work to develop a culture of "self-service" reporting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences, Health Services Research, or related field and two years of research experience is required.
  • Master's Degree and experience in quantitative research preferred.

Financial Analyst – Community First Health Plans

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Position provides professional level financial operational support to the Chief Financial Officer. Initiative, independent judgment, and decision making abilities under limited supervision is required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related business field with at least one year of related experience, preferably in a health care budgeting setting, is required.
  • Two years of experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience with medical data analysis using SQL preferred.
  • Experience in IRS Form production preferred.

Genetic Counselor

University Health System is a nationally recognized teaching hospital. We are consistently recognized as a leader in advanced treatment options, new technologies and clinical research. As the Genetic Counselor for University Health System, you will become the coach and mentor for residents, fellows and faculty.

University Hospital's status as a Level I trauma center has been continuous since 1997. As one of two Level I adult trauma centers with its military partner Brooke Army Medical Center, and as the only Level I pediatric trauma center in the region, University Hospital cares for thousands of patients each year from throughout a 22-county region of South Texas. The Genetic Counselor will visit with the patients and family members of our diverse patient population.

Vehicle driver

University Health System is hiring for a Mammography Vehicle Drive.

Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years of experience operating a commercial vehicle or bus.
  • A valid Texas State CDL operator's license "Class C" and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • The ability to speak and understand English is also required.
  • The ability to speak and understand Spanish is preferred.

CT Technologist

Position Summary

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity
  • Makes independent value judgments when supervision is not available
  • Assumes responsibility for achieving quality work, setting up patient load and maintaining schedules
  • Individual responsibility for specified CT procedures
  • Performs assigned duties promptly and efficiently

Cook

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Requires sound knowledge and skill in quantity/batch cooking methods and procedures to assist in preparing and cooking foods to order in the operation of a major patient-care and commercial cafeteria facility of the University Health System. Ensures the proper care and use of foods, supplies, equipment and complies with safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.

Education:

  • The ability to read, write and speak English, understand oral and written instructions, and do simple arithmetic is required.
  • High School Graduation or its equivalent plus vocational or on-the-job training in cooking is required.
  • Five years’ experience in food production and cooking in demanding schedules is required.
  • Cooking experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities is preferred.
  • Computer knowledge and familiarity with software programs such as Word Perfect, inventory/ordering systems etc. is preferred.
  • Must maintain a current Food Handlers Certification.
