Blood Bank Scientist (Night Shift)

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Performs procedures for testing or analysis on specimens submitted to the laboratory.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science
  • Or high school graduate or equivalent, successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks, and served as a medical laboratory specialist
  • And Blood Bank experience is required.

Value Analysis Training Coordinator- Purchasing

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The coordinator will manage all duties related to but not limited to coordinating, facilitating, implementing and monitoring all aspects of the Value Analysis Program for University Health System. Additionally, the coordinator will assure the cost effective utilization of products, support value analysis objectives, coordinates and assists in the education processes regarding value analysis and participates as a member of related committees by assisting the purchasing staff in the maintenance of the Materials Management Information System databases.

The right candidate must have strong project management and organizational skills and be able to work independently to complete assigned tasks and duties including the development of value analysis strategies.

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Nursing or related field and/or equivalent experience in health related specialty is required or a minimum of 6 years progressive procurement experience of which 3 years of the experience is preferred to have been in a healthcare organization.
  • A working knowledge of medical/surgical products, diagnostic testing and services is required.
  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Contracting knowledge and negotiation skills is preferred.

Emergency Center RNs

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

University Health System offers the most up-to-date advancements in nursing. We are a Level I Trauma Center with nationally certified nursing staff. The RN will provide excellent care for patients in the Emergency Center.

Education/Experience:

  • Current RN license
  • 1 year RN experience preferably in an ER setting
  • BSN highly preferred
