Hem/Onc RNs for adult and adolescent units

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

University Health System offers the most up-to-date advancements in nursing. We are a Level I Trauma Center with nationally certified nursing staff. The RN will provide excellent care for patients in the Emergency Center.

Education/Experience:

  • Current RN license
  • 2 years RN experience preferably in a Hem/Onc setting
  • Hem/Onc certification a plus

Histocompatibility Technologist I

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Histocompatibility Technologist will possess technical skills necessary to assume responsibility for performing histocompatibility testing for organ and stem cell transplantation, platelet transfusion and disease risk analysis.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science.

Resource Center Supervisor

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Supervises operations for representatives responsible for answering inbound calls from new patients, existing patients, nursing staff, physicians, as well as, making appropriate outbound calls to patients and clinical support areas. In cooperation with area manager coordinates and accurately complete administrative and clerical duties in support of clinical services which include: answering incoming telephone calls in both English and Spanish, appointment scheduling, eligibility screening, referral coordination, prescription refills, patient account inquiry, and outlining financial responsibilities.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Work experience in a medical office or clinic setting is strongly preferred

Part-Time Community Outreach Specialist

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

This is a Grant Funded substance abuse and HIV Prevention position and serves as the link between community, volunteer network members program coordinators, collaborating organizations and UHS departments. The Outreach Specialist will participate in special community health events, outreach activities, preventive and wellness programs, as well as implement health education programs. The Outreach Specialist will communicate information and education to the community at large and will act as a liaison between patients and supporting services by providing program information and helping to schedule appointments.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of college or two years of experience in conducting community-based outreach and education programs preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Support Services Supervisor

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Support Services Supervisor will coordinate, train, direct and supervise Customer Service Representatives, Unit Clerks and Medical Records clerks. The qualified applicant will have experience in an Ambulatory care setting working with an online scheduling and registration system.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two years college or equivalent work experience in Medical records or related medical field is required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
