Supplemental Staffing RNs – Exceptional Pay

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

We’re looking for Registered Nurses to fulfill supplemental staffing contracts while we go live with EPIC EMR Software.

  • $50/hr for day shift
  • $55/hr for night shift
  • Plus differentials

Requirements:

  • Must commit to 20 week contract beginning January 6th
  • Must commit to working PRN for 24 hrs/week (two 12-hour shifts)
  • Must have 2 years adult or pediatric experience as a full time Registered Nurse

Pharmacy Liaison

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Liaison will meet daily metrics by consenting patients and increasing patient adherence ensuring patients receive prescription medications following their appointment. The individual will work with University Health System Clinic and Pharmacy staff to provide an optimal patient experience. Candidate must be flexible, self-motivated, have previous inside sales and healthcare experience. Excellent customer service skills are required to educate patients about the Pharmacy Program, facilitating access to prescription medication onsite, at the University Health System Clinics.

Education/Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent experience is required.
  • College or commercial school courses in marketing, sales, business or other related areas is preferred.
  • Two or more years inside or outside sales experience preferred

LVN UHS Outpatient Supervisor

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Supervises over assigned licensed vocational nursing staff in a clinic setting.

Education/Experience:

  • Current Texas LVN license
  • CPR certification. ACLS certification is required
  • At least two years’ experience in an outpatient setting is required
  • Must have at least two years’ experience in a supervisory/management position in a health care setting

Certified Tumor Registrar

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Reviews hospital records to identify and compile patient data for use in cancer management program, as well as reviews and enters patient's medical record, abstracts, and codes information (i.e. demographics, history/extent of disease, diagnostic procedures/treatment) into software system. Submits Cancer Registry Data to the Commission on Cancer and Texas Cancer Registry on a timely basis; making sure data is accurate prior to submission. Validates data within medical record and within Cancer Registry Vendor on a quarterly basis. Stays up to date with all reporting to Registries including concurrent data reporting requirements. Attends Commission on Cancer Surveys and all regulatory meetings which include Cancer Registry or Data Analysis.

Must be able to comprehend and use various hospital computer software and other data base programs; displays knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. High level of confidentiality is required.

Education/Experience:

  • Certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or equivalent coursework in an approved college level curriculum in a recognized allied health field as determined by NCRA's Council on Certification is required
  • Three years of experience working as a CTR is required.
  • If not a current CTR, CTR eligibility is required. Must obtain the CTR certification within twelve (12) months from date of hire
  • Experience in Medical Record Administration is required
  • Knowledge and use of ICD-9-CM coding principals is required; ICD-O principals preferred

Medical Laboratory Scientist (Evening & Night Shift in Core Lab)

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform procedures for testing or analysis on specimens submitted to the laboratory.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science is required
  • Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required
  • 1 year of Clinical laboratory experience is preferred, but not required
