Employee Recognition Programs

Recognition and Rewards

University Health is committed to recognizing and rewarding employees who exhibit outstanding performance and service excellence. The success of our health care mission depends on your positive attitude, professional competence and ability to build productive relationships.

Several recognitions for all University employees are conducted throughout the year including:

  • Onboarding Recognition Program
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Above and Beyond Recognition Program
  • Employee Holiday Event
  • On-the-Spot Recognition Program
  • Standardization Recognition Program
  • Employee of the Quarter Program
  • DAISY Award Program
  • Employee of the Year Program
  • Shining Star Award
  • Employee Service Awards

The Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) recognizes and rewards registered nurses (RNs) for their clinical expertise and excellence in professional practice. CAP is based on the following criteria:

  • Clinical expertise
  • Professional certifications
  • Department and system contributions
  • Organizational tenure
Designed by employees, for employees, the performance planning and evaluation system establishes a plan for your job at the beginning of each year of service and evaluated at the end of the plan year. Every new employee gets an evaluation at the end of the first three months. This helps newcomers get off to a good start.

Annual performance evaluations lead to consideration for merit pay increases.
