The Foundation prides itself on being an excellent steward of the resources entrusted to its care. The ultimate beneficiaries are the patients, families, and the community served by University Health System.
Private contributions are not a substitute for the very necessary tax dollars that are carefully managed at University Health System. Rather, they are critical enhancements to such public support to meet the challenges of today and the future. While public funds address the most basic needs of University Health, private dollars allow University Health to improve its delivery of care to all patients and support the most urgent requirements outside the institution's approved budget.

A memorial contribution to University Health System Foundation not only expresses the depth of your concern, but is also used to help others.

We welcome donations that are made in honor of someone living or to acknowledge a special occasion.
Donation of Stock
Advantages of stock and securities gifts:
- You avoid all capital gains tax when you give long-term appreciated securities to University Health System Foundation.
- You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the stock if it has been held for more than a year.
- The fair market value of the stock can be deducted against a maximum of 30% of your adjusted gross income and any excess deductions can be carried forward into as many as five additional tax years.
