Nursing Scholarship Program Requirements

"It is our honor to offer scholarships for the future LVN's and RN's that will serve as bedside nurses at our University Health System facilities," said Blas Catalani, Chair, University Health System Foundation Board of Directors.
The requirements to receive a nursing scholarship are:
- Applicant must be employed by University Health System for at least one (1) full year prior to applying for scholarship.
- Applicant must provide confirmation of acceptance to an accredited Nursing School program to be eligible for funds.
- A maximum of $2,000 in financial support will be awarded per calendar year for tuition and books. Funds will be reimbursed at the completion of each semester once the academic standard Grade Point Average (GPA) is confirmed.
- A maximum of two (2) years of scholarship funds will be provided to a scholar seeking an ADN or RN. A maximum of three (3) years of scholarship funds will be provided to a scholar seeking a BSN.
- Academic standard must be maintained at a 3.0 GPA.
- Six (6) volunteer hours will be required per year of Nursing Scholars to support University Health System Foundation efforts.
Application Deadline
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2011-2012 Academic School Year. Applications for the 2012-2013 Academic School Year will be available in July 2012.
