Diabetes Care

The Texas Diabetes Institute's clinics offer outpatient medical evaluation and treatment of diabetes and endocrine disorders by Board-certified Physicians in our Adult Diabetes/Endocrinology and Pediatric Diabetes/Endocrinology Clinics. In addition, a myriad of Specialty Clinics at our Adult Medicine, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Orthotics/Prosthetics, Osteoporosis, Vascular, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Podiatry/Orthopedic Clinics also serve to perform endless medical interventions related to the early detection, management, and complications of diabetes. A modern, 28 station Dialysis Facility boasts one of the lowest morbidity and mortality rates in the nation. It's experienced bilingual staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians provide tailored dialysis prescriptions for all our patients. Nurse Case Managers are assigned in each of these clinics and serve as the patient’s link to the Texas Diabetes Institute in ensuring that all relevant services and support are provided to the patient and family. The diabetic patient’s psychosocial and emotional needs are also met through the efforts of Licensed Master’s level Social Workers that are available onsite for counseling. This multidisciplinary team approach to the holistic care of patients with diabetes has earned the Texas Diabetes Institute a world-wide reputation of excellence in their delivery of care model through health promotion, prevention, treatment, research, and patient education.
