| Signs and Symptoms of a stroke
- The inability of someone to use their arm or leg, also described as "weakness" of one side of the body (off balance, cannot walk correctly or sometimes fall)
- Numbness of one side of the body (similar feeling to tingling or ants crawling up your arm)
- Visual loss or double-vision (like a curtain coming over their eye, or seeing two of the same thing)
- Slurred speech, or difficulty understanding what is being said to you. Can't "get the words out" or just can't speak properly
- Headache
- Loss of balance
- Some people have confusion
