Stroke & Neuromuscular Rehabilitation

E-mail

The disabling effect of a stroke can change many aspects of daily living for an individual and their family. Once a stroke victim recovers from the initial event, there is a need to re-learn certain aspects of daily activities while strengthening muscles weakened by the stroke. We integrate movement function and neuromuscular facilitation. At Reeves Rehabilitation Center, we provide physical, occupational, recreational and speech therapies, as well as medical, nursing and psychological services for those involved. Our stroke program ensures that our stroke patients return home with their families more than 80% of the time.

Various therapy services for neuromuscular rehabilitation are offered at all of our outpatient therapy settings: University Hospital, Robert B. Green Campus, University Family Health Center - Southeast and University Health System - Texas Diabetes Institute

Diagnoses include:

  • Strokes
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Neuropathies
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Other neurological injuries
