Medical Laboratory Services

Laboratory services at University Health System are used to obtain and study samples, such as blood, tissue and urine, to help doctors make diagnosis and treatment decisions. We have several state-of-the-art outpatient facilities located throughout San Antonio.

Lab Services Help Save Lives

Our laboratory services provide support to these lifesaving programs:

  • Transplant Program – We perform essential HLA identification and crossmatch testing for adult and pediatric patients within the transplant program. We also are extensively involved in the living donor programs for kidney and liver transplants.
