Emergency Services Treatment

Complete Care During Your Visit

You get more in University Hospital’s Emergency Department. More care and more convenience. Instead of a sling for your broken arm with instructions to see an orthopedic specialist, you see the orthopedic specialist while you’re here. Instead of a prescription and directions to a lab for a test on Monday, we perform the test in the Emergency Department. We want to address whatever ails you while you’re with us.

Every patient gets complete care in a single visit.

Expert Care for Every Injury & Illness

We treat injury and illness for all ages involving every specialty. Our emergency medicine teams have easy access to specialists in other disciplines available at a moment’s notice. You can seek care from us for:

Sometimes you needs may be more than medical. We involve our colleagues in special areas to help make sure all of your unique needs are met, including social workers who help with transportation and housing.

Sexual Assault Victims

If you or someone you love is sexually assaulted, our registered nurses in the Emergency Department will perform specialized exams. A sexual assault nurse examiner performs additional testing and collects evidence.

As a Level I Trauma Center, we refer patients who have been sexually assaulted to a qualified, compassionate sexual assault nurse examiner:
