Texas Diabetes Institute Children’s Center

The Children’s Center at Texas Diabetes Institute (TDI) specializes in treating type 1 and type 2 diabetes in children. Staffed by board certified pediatric endocrinologists with more than 100 years of clinical experience combined, the Children’s Center also addresses and treats complications caused by obesity, growth disorders and other malignancies like endocrine cancer in children and adolescents.

As part of University Health System, an academic medical center in partnership with UT Health San Antonio, TDI is at the forefront of diabetes research providing vital information on the effective treatments of diabetes in kids with studies like the TODAY and SAFARI. Visit our research page for ongoing diabetes research studies involving young patients with diabetes.
