Medication

Many skin conditions are treated with oral and topical medications. They include over-the-counter and prescription creams and ointments, and prescription oral medications used to prevent and treat infections, acne, viruses such as shingles, and fungal conditions, such as ringworm.

Light Therapy

This treatment uses ultraviolet light to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema that can affect the entire body. The Texas Diabetes Institute Dermatology Clinic has a state-of-art photo booth used to treat psoriasis and other chronic skin conditions.

Laser Therapy

Our specialists at the Texas Diabetes Institute Dermatology Clinic also use the excimer laser to treat psoriasis and other chronic skin conditions. We are one of the few San Antonio providers using this advanced treatment.
