Lariat Procedure

LARIAT™ procedure helps reduce stroke risk in patients with atrial fibrillation who cannot take blood thinning medications. Atrial fibrillation – irregular heartbeats, either too fast or too slow – affects about three million people, and patients with this condition are five times more likely to have a stroke. The irregular heartbeats make it hard for the heart’s upper and lower chambers to work together, potentially causing dangerous clots.
