Course Description
This course will provide attendees with basic evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment tools to assist patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, without doing internal pelvic or rectal exams.

Objectives

  • Distinguish specific PF anatomical structures from one another and how they contribute to PF dysfunction
  • Demonstrate an understanding of differential diagnosis relating to PF issues
  • Understand the mechanism of micturition and defecation
  • Integrate basic musculoskeletal and neuro rehab principles into developing a treatment plan for a PF patient
  • Have a heightened awareness of the sensitivity of PF issues and how pain, fear, and past expericences are intertwined with the ability of a patient to heal
