Course Description
This course will provide attendees with basic evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment tools to assist patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, without doing internal pelvic or rectal exams.
Objectives
-
Distinguish specific PF anatomical structures from one another and how they contribute to PF dysfunction

Demonstrate an understanding of differential diagnosis relating to PF issues

Understand the mechanism of micturition and defecation

Integrate basic musculoskeletal and neuro rehab principles into developing a treatment plan for a PF patient
-
Have a heightened awareness of the sensitivity of PF issues and how pain, fear, and past expericences are intertwined with the ability of a patient to heal
