Course Description

This course will provide attendees with a three stage approach to evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment of lumbo-pelvic dysfunction with a direct access emphasis.

Objectives

  • Be able to understand sources of pathology outside of the musculoskeletal system
  • Determine appropriateness of patient for physical therapy intervention
  • Understand and differentiate the regions of the lumbo-pelvic spine and potential sources of spinal dysfunction
  • Establish an appropriate somatic diagnosis and manual therapy intervention
  • Plan and prescribe an appropriate stabilization protocol
