Orthopaedic Rehabilitation

Orthopaedic rehabilitation patients are an important part of our outpatient program at Reeves Rehabilitation Center. Whether orthopaedic procedures are needed due to accidents, sports injuries or disease processes, rehabilitation is needed to strengthen muscles and restore optimal function.

Early orthopaedic rehabilitation allows patients to return to normal activities in a timelier manner. At Reeves, our professional team of therapists work together with the patient and family to assist patients in their efforts to return to everyday activities. Various orthopaedic rehabilitation services are offered at all of our outpatient therapy settings throughout San Antonio: University Hospital, University Health Center - Downtown, University Family Health Center - Southeast and University Health System – Texas Diabetes Institute.

Therapists perform expert evaluations for the above conditions and offer personalized exercise prescriptions, hands on manual therapy, use of various modalities, strength training, mobility training, gait training and specialized mobilization techniques. Patient training and education is an integral part of our program. Each patient is made available expert resources to manage their condition on an ongoing basis.
