The Bexar County Hospital District d/b/a University Health System is a political subdivision of the State of Texas (tax-exempt entity), owned by the people of Bexar County.
Accredited by The Joint Commission, the Health System serves as the primary teaching locations for The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Clinical locations include University Hospital, 16 clinics and four outpatient dialysis centers. Subsidiary organizations of the Health System include Community First Health Plans and Community Medicine Associates.
University Health System’s Procurement Services is responsible for acquisition of all equipment, goods, supplies and services.

Health System Procurement
The Health System procures a vast array of equipment, goods, supplies and services including but not limited to: Medical Supplies and Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, Advertising & Promotional Products, Office Furniture and Supplies, Computer Hardware/Software, Various Construction Services, Architects and Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Landscaping, Uniforms, Lab Coats, Power Washing, Printing and Binding Services, Professional Services, etc.

Certifications

Questions regarding an open solicitation
All questions regarding an open solicitation must be submitted in writing (e-mail, mailed, or hand-carried) and addressed to the Procurement Services staff member assigned to the solicitation. All questions and Answers received will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation.
Mandatory Pre-bid Conference
Some of the Health System bids will require a mandatory pre-bid conference. No one will be admitted after the commencement of the mandatory pre-bid conference.
