Services

The Orthopaedic Department of University Health System provides inpatient and outpatient care of orthopaedic disorders, diseases and injuries, to include trauma care, total joint replacement, musculoskeletal tumors, pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine. Each physician has a special interest and expertise within the field of orthopaedics, all of which complement the practice as a whole.

We offer a multidisciplinary team approach to providing quality orthopaedic care. The team that works closely with our orthopaedists includes vascular surgeons, prosthetists, endocrinologists, nurses, hyperbaric oxygen/wound care specialists, infectious disease physicians, radiologists, physical and occupational therapists, rehabilitation medicine specialists and more.

Trauma

The number of trauma-related injuries continues to increase each year. The initial treatment and subsequent management of traumatic injuries are crucial to the ultimate outcome for the patient. Our physicians staff the Emergency Center of University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and are skilled in the management of orthopaedic trauma.

Diabetic Foot Care

We are dedicated to discovering breakthroughs in all areas of foot care, especially those concerning the diabetic population. We conduct a weekly clinic dedicated to the treatment of diabetic foot problems.
