Nursing Overview

Welcome to Nursing at University Health System. Our Nurses work continuously to improve the health care for our community. We are extremely proud to be a Magnet Designated health care organization. This recognition supports our focus in creating a vigorous, collaborative work environment that fosters the development of professional nursing. Nursing Leadership expects our bedside nurses to be clinical decision makers. Nurses at UHS are engaged in our new facilities planning for optimum efficiencies and nurse/patient family centered facilities. Through shared governance councils our nurses promote patient safety, improve quality and patient satisfaction, as well as evaluate and determine new products for patient care.

Our nurses are committed to providing our community with exceptional clinical care, in sharing their success with others and in research and the development of best practices. Our Mission Matters!
