The Newborn Nursery accommodates 25 infants. Babies being cared for here can usually spend as much time in their mother's room as desired, returning to the nursery when the mother requests or for any necessary tests and procedures. The Newborn Nursery staff not only provides in-patient care, but once the baby has been released from the hospital, the staff also conducts follow-up exams, lab work and weight checks as determined by the infant's pediatrician.
