Conveniently located in the Lobby Gift Shop at 4502 Medical Drive, the Baby and You Lactation Center reflects a growing commitment to breastfeeding that now includes lactation consultants and nurses, peer counselors, a warm line and even a breastfeeding boot camp. By surrounding new moms with so much comfort and encouragement, it’s no wonder the number of women who breastfeed has increased from 40% to 90% in less than a year.

An affiliation with the Mother's Milk Bank in Austin assures availability of breast milk for premature babies and provides a collection point for mothers who wish to donate milk.

Designated by the State of Texas as a Mother Friendly Worksite, University Health System is sharing its winning programs for working moms with area businesses.

Now the Baby and You Lactation Center makes all the tools needed for successful breastfeeding both accessible and affordable. In addition to the rental and purchase of Medela breast pumps, the new Lactation Center in the hospital Gift Shop also stocks breast pump supplies, wipes, creams, maternity briefs, nursing bras, infant and preemie clothes and gift items.

Our Lactation Center prices are the lowest in San Antonio.

Our hours are Monday - Saturday; 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
