Who can participate?
Students ages 4-12 who live in Bexar County are eligible to participate.
Theme:
Your drawing must give a positive message about how you can prevent injuries. Important injury prevention topics include traffic safety, sports safety, violence prevention, water safety, stranger danger, fire prevention, poison safety, and safety during play time.
Judging:

Entries will be divided into three age groups: 4 - 6; 7 - 8; 9 - 12.

Each age group will have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and honorable mention winner.
PRIZES:
1ST Prize: Kids’ Bicycle and a Helmet
2nd Prize: Family Four Pack to Splashtown
3rd Prize: Family Four Pack to Skateland West
Honorable Mention: Unlimited Ride Pass to Kiddie Park
Contest Rules:

Official How I Stay Safe entry forms must be used

Only one entry per child is allowed

No weapons can be featured in the drawing. Entries that do will be disqualified

All students must address the theme of safety. Entries that do not will be disqualified

All entries must be colored; they can be drawn with a pen, pencil, crayon, marker, etc.

A straight edge may be used to aid in drawing a straight line but drawings must be free hand

Gluing materials to the surface is not permitted. Use of stencils or tracing is not permitted
Students must print their name, age, and school information clearly on the entry form.
Entries must be received between January 1, 2011 and February 29, 2012.
