The mission is to inform the community of the
Family Planning services available. The Educator
provides outreach in a variety of ways including:
- Education to schools
and community agencies addressing the issue
of teen pregnancies. Presentations include:
Self-Esteem, Peer Pressure, Abstinence &
other birth control methods, STDs/HIV
& AIDS, Breast Health, etc.
- Distribution of flyers
to local community agencies, schools, housing
and apartment complexes, colleges and universities,
community centers and detention centers
- Increase awareness of
Family Planning services via television, radio
and/or newsprint.
- Participate in health
fairs and local events/functions.
- All presentations may
be provided in English or Spanish.
