and change. It also is a time of heightened
vulnerabilities. Programs that can provide information,
ensure access to services, and develop life
skills are crucial to the future of this population.
Confidential Family Planning Services include:
- Birth Control Methods
- Education on reproductive
anatomy and physiology
- Screening & Treatment
for STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)
- Pregnancy Testing &
non-directive counseling & Referrals
- Comprehensive health
assessment to include: pap smears, screening
for diabetes and anemia, and urine tests.
- Screening for domestic
violence/abuse
- Social Service Referrals
Parental Consent:
Minors (17 and under) do not need parental consent to receive family planning services, including birth control. We strongly encourage adolescents to talk to their parents or another trusted adult about sex.
