Southwest Diabetes Symposium (SWDS)

Leading researchers and practitioners will disseminate the latest advancements in the prevention and treatment of diabetes. This day-and-a-half interaction will provide an intensive, practical and multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, nutrition management, gestational diabetes and obesity. Speakers will present a rational therapeutic approach based upon sound pathophysiologic principles. All treatment guidelines will be based on the standards of care for diabetic patients, as published by the American Diabetes Association.
This course has been expressly designed for physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, nurses, social workers and other allied health professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge of diabetes care and treatment.
