Continuing Education Program (CEP)

"Our mission is to improve quality of life for those living with diabetes by offering state-of-the-art professional education activities to healthcare professionals.”

The Texas Diabetes Institute’s Continuing Education Program (CEP) is dedicated to improving patient health and care throughout the state of Texas. It is our belief that quality diabetes treatment is directly dependent upon the education and expertise of the healthcare community. In an attempt to prevent and alleviate the devastating effects of diabetes, the Continuing Education Program provides professional education activities that seek to enhance knowledge, skills and performance among healthcare professionals.

The CEP’s professional education and continuing medical education (CME) events focus largely on narrowing the gap between research and clinical practice. These educational opportunities highlight innovative procedures and technologies, examine current controversies in treatment, and update clinical practitioners on the latest advances in the treatment of diabetes.

For more information, contact the Continuing Education Program at (210) 358-7398 or via email at cep@uhs-sa.com.

NOTE: The Continuing Education Program offers events that provide continuing education units to physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, social workers and dietitians. Please contact us for information regarding other disciplines and/or specific credit hour approval.
