    San Antonio AirLIFE is an air medical transport service dedicated to safety, rapid transport and superior medical care of patients requiring critical care twenty-four hours a day within a 150-mile radius of San Antonio. AirLIFE is committed to community service through activities which promote safety, illness and injury prevention and awareness of community medical resources.
  • Bexar County Community Health Collaborative
    The Health Collaborative began informally in 1997 when the health care organizations agreed to put aside their competitive business practices to conduct a comprehensive health needs assessment. The evolution in 2000 to an incorporated entity with a long-range strategic plan is in response to the founding members' interest in improving the health status of the community by working together. The result is a more robust, less duplicative, more synergistic approach to solving critical community health needs, while efficiently utilizing resources.
  • Community First Health Plans
    Community First Health Plans, the region's only locally-owned and operated, not-for-profit HMO, was established in 1995, specifically to begin providing health care coverage to the citizens of Bexar and the surrounding seven counties. Our commitment to our members is to provide exceptional health care benefits backed by outstanding service, delivered by people who live right here in South Texas.
  • The Calorie Control Council
    The Calorie Control Council, established in 1966, is an international non-profit association representing the low-calorie and reduced-fat food and beverage industry. Today it represents 60 manufacturers and suppliers of low-calorie, low-fat and light foods and beverages, including the manufacturers and suppliers of more than a dozen different dietary sweeteners, fat replacers and other low-calorie ingredients.
  • Texas Department of Health (TDH)
    TDH's essential public health services include monitoring the public's health status, investigating and responding to disease outbreaks, enforcing laws and rules to protect the public's health and developing policies to improve health in Texas. These services include community-based health care services covering infants to adults, medical and social services assistance for children with special health care needs and their families and preventive medical and dental screenings and treatment for children with Medicaid coverage.
  • Texas Hospital Association (THA)
    The Texas Hospital Association supports Texas hospitals in delivering superior, cost-effective health care. A not-for-profit association, THA serves more than 430 hospitals and health systems through legislative advocacy, education, networking opportunities and operational support.
  • UT Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA)
    UTHSCSA is an integral part of the health care delivery system of San Antonio and the entire South Texas community, as well as an important component of the health care delivery system of the State of Texas and the nation. More than 3,000 students a year train in an environment that involves more than 100 affiliated hospitals, clinics and health care facilities in South Texas.The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio serves San Antonio and the 50,000 square-mile area of South Texas. It extends to campuses in the metropolitan border communities of Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley.
  • Westside Development Corporation (WDC)
    The purpose of the WDC is to create economic development opportunities in a historically underserved area of San Antonio. The City of San Antonio has committed to supporting the WDC through its incorporation and short-term operations. City Council approved funding in the amount of $600,000 over two years to cover operational expenses and market studies. The WDC staff currently resides within the City’s Economic Development Department but is expected to eventually establish itself as an independent, nonprofit organization.

    WDC Market Analysis Report, commissioned in 2007, provides the organization and Westside stakeholders with precise information about the challenges at hand, while also presenting solutions based on best-practices in other cities.
