Patient Care Coordinator - Naco Perrin Clinic

Responsibilities:

  • Perform expert leadership skills in management of staff and coordination of patient care activities
  • Work collaboratively with all healthcare providers and non-healthcare providers
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for all staff and will receive mentoring for the Nursing Director

Qualifications include:

  • Must have a current Texas RN license
  • BSN Required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association and national certification in related field are required

Analyst Security

Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties in support of University Health System and Information Services Information Asset Security policies
  • Day-to-day monitoring, scanning, response, and operational reporting of information security
  • Maintenance and operations of Data Security applications
  • Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts
  • Supports information security procedures to safeguard against inadvertent disclosure of confidential data and unauthorized access to computing environments

    • Anti-Virus solutions (SCEP, MacAfee)
    • SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight)

Performance Consultant

The Performance Consultant is an "Instructor/Trainer". Consultant plans, teaches, and evaluates the staff education programs. The focus in on increasing staff competence.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field is required
  • Master's degree or post-graduate course work is preferred
  • A minimum of three years of experience in training is preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred

NICU/High Risk Dietitian

The clinical dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy specific to neonatal nutrition using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines
  • Manage resources in a cost effective manner
  • Participate in performance improvement efforts
  • Maintain professional competency and skills required for professional practice

Qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field is required
  • Completion of either an The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved dietetic internship or a program in hospital dietetics approved by the ADA.
  • Experience with Pediatric or NICU is highly desirable
  • Must be Registered Dietitian
  • Texas Licensed Dietitian

Utilization Denial Manager

Manages and supervises the Nurse Case Managers, Authorization Nurses, and clerical staff of the Utilization Management Department. Ensures that inpatient concurrent reviews and retrospective reviews are performed correctly utilizing UHS's selected medical necessity screening tool.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Minimum of two years recent management experience; three years of hospital clinical nursing experience and one year experience in case management, utilization review or hospital quality assurance
  • RN license & BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of all payer requirements in all areas of the authorization, clinical review, and appeal process

Genetic Counselor

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical consultation services and communicate results to physicians, health professionals, and patients (both adult and pediatric)
  • Screen and review all orders for genetic tests whether they are performed in-house or at a reference laboratory
  • Must be able to assess the patient's clinical history and, when necessary, recommend alternative genetic testing based on the analysis of risk, benefit and cost to the patient and/or Health System

Qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in genetic counseling
  • Certified or eligible for certification as a Genetic Counselor by the American Board of Genetics Counseling (ABGC)
  • Certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire date or eligibility
