| We are currently looking for enthusiastic Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants for our acute and inpatient rehab teams. Being a level I Trauma Center, the acute care team caters to a diversity of patient population and an excellent environment to grow clinical decision making skills. The multidisciplinary team of therapists in inpatient rehab collaborates on a daily basis to achieve the shared outcome of maximizing patient independence. Occupational Therapist: Performs professional, competent occupational therapy evaluation to all assigned patients in an efficient and timely manner. Treats patients using a wide range of modalities, therapeutic exercises, functional training, and patient education techniques including maintaining documentation on all patient care activities. Modifies treatment plan as needed. Collaborates with members of the health care team to maintain professional standards of the practice, encourage interdisciplinary team work and maximize patient benefit. Occupational Therapy Assistant: Assists in carrying out occupational therapy treatment programs under the direction and supervision of licensed occupational therapists. Treats patients using a wide range of modalities, therapeutic exercises, functional training, and patient education techniques including maintaining documentation on all patient care activities. Establishes and maintains timely and effective written or verbal communication with patients' families, physicians, and supervising therapist.
