Introduction

University Health System has a rich history of providing health care services to the citizens of Bexar County and teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals. We offer a variety of internships to provide real-life experiences for students seeking a health career.

Nursing Students

As one of San Antonio’s largest health providers, it is our pleasure to provide Nursing Education opportunities. All Students should contact their Clinical Coordinator at the respective schools to establish placements within our facilities.

All items in the Clinical Coordinator Checklist must be completed before student placement.

Preceptorships

University Health System provides clinical experiences for advanced practice nursing students from accredited Master’s programs. In order to be considered for a preceptorship, you must be currently enrolled as a student at one of our affiliated schools.

Health Career Internships

We offer internship opportunities for students pursuing a health career. Our Health Career Internship Application should be completed by a faculty member or official at the affiliated school. An in-person interview will be required prior to acceptance.
