Renal Clinic

This specialty clinic serves patients that have been diagnosed with kidney disease. Depending on the patient's condition, our physicians determine the best care procedures that will need to be taken and continuing specialty care. Patients are scheduled based on referral or consultation review and medical necessity. The Renal Clinic is a teaching based clinic for the nephrology department of the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Physicians

Hanna E. Abboud, MD

serves as the Nephrology Chief of Staff of the Renal Clinic at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Dr. Abboud received his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt.

Wajeh Quinibi, MD

serves as the Attending Faculty Physician and the Director of the Friday Renal Clinic at the Texas Diabtes Institute. Dr. Qunibi received his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt.

Paolo Fanti, MD

serves as Attending Faculty Physician and the Director of the Wednesday Renal Clinic at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Dr. Fanti received his medical degree from the Universita Di Bologna in Bologna, Italy.

Hernan Rincon-Choles, MD

serves as Attending Faculty Physician of the Renal Clinic at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Dr. Rincon received his medical degree from the Escuela de Medicina de la Universidad de Cartagena in Cartagena, Colombia.
