A scar is seen by many as ugly and something to be concealed. For transplant recipients and living donors, a scar is a mark of beauty and a symbol of life.
The Art of the SCAR is a collection of original works of art created by Clover Hill High School (Midlothian, VA) Photography Club students showcasing the scars of transplant recipients and living donors. The exhibition debuted in The Gallery at UNOS May 2, 2014. The traveling exhibition includes 17 of the collection's 35 pieces.
University Health System is proud to have the collection on loan from the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) for exhibition at University Hospital.
