Public Official Conflicts of Interest Disclosure Statements

Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 176 requires:

Local Government Officers and Vendors must file conflict disclosure statements and questionnaires if in the 12-month period preceding the date that a contract has been executed or is being considered:

  1. A business relationship between a Local Government Officer or a family member of the Local Government Officer and vendor results in taxable income that exceeds $2500 for the Local Government Officer or family member; or
  2. Vendor has given Local Government Officer or a family member gift(s) with an aggregate value of more than $100.
