Diversity Award Hispanic Contractor Association of San Antonio - Excellence Through Diversity Award: Owner of the Year for a Project Over $10 Million

University Health System (UHS) received the 2013 Excellence through Diversity Award: Owner of the Year for a Project Over $10 million by the Hispanic Contractors Association de San Antonio, for implementing and achieving excellence through diversity on all phases of its Robert B. Green Campus construction project downtown. UHS staff members received the award during the annual gala held at El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel.

University Health System (UHS) was recognized for their outstanding commitment to minority-owned businesses in San Antonio. They were presented with two individual agency awards: Best Local Business Participation Award 2013 and Best African American Owned Business Participation 2013. UHS was selected among all local agencies in Bexar County.

Hispanic Contract Association of San Antonio Hispanic Contractor Association of San Antonio - Excellence Through Diversity Award: Owner of the Year for a Project Between $5 - $10 Million

University Health System (UHS) received the 2012 Excellence through Diversity Award: Owner of the Year for a Project Between $5 - $10 million by the Hispanic Contractors Association de San Antonio, for implementing and achieving excellence through diversity on all phases of its Data Center Phase II construction. The $5.9 million dollar project highlighted awards to SWMVBE totaling $2.9 million dollars. UHS staff members received the award during the annual gala.

Hispanic Contractor Association of San Antonio MedAssets Supplier Diversity Excellence Award

University Health System (UHS) received the 2010 MedAssets Supplier Diversity Excellence Award. The Supplier Diversity Excellence Award recognized the healthcare provider that demonstrated an organizational commitment to support the entry, growth and sustained success of diverse suppliers in the healthcare industry through an established supplier diversity program.

Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Executive Director’s Award

The Small Business Academy Consortium was presented with the 2011 “Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Executive Director’s Award” for outstanding services and advocacy for minority owned businesses in the San Antonio area. University Health System was recognized for its partnership to develop the Small Business Academy.

The Small Business Academy was formed in 2009 by nine local governmental organizations to provide assistance to small, minority, women, veteran, or disabled individual owned business enterprises. The Small Business Academy Consortium members are: Alamo Colleges, BexarMet Water District, Edwards Aquifer Authority, San Antonio Housing Authority, San Antonio River Authority, San Antonio Water System, University Health System, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority.
