If you've driven by the helipad at University Hospital lately, you may have noticed a couple of banners touting San Antonio AirLIFE as the 2008 Texas EMS Air Medical Service of the year.
The award, presented by the Texas Department of State Health Services EMS division, honors the EMS air medical service that demonstrates the highest standards in providing patient care to the citizens of Texas.
University Health System takes great pride in its joint ownership of one the nation's premiere air EMS programs in the country. AirLIFE is jointly owned by Baptist Health System and University Health System.
Congratulations to AirLIFE President/ CEO Dr. Wayne Hilliard and the entire crew - both in the air and behind the scenes - for your commitment to excellent care and safety.
