For department contracts with Non UHS subject samples: Color-coded request forms are provided to facilitate the identification of study samples and the billing process. The Pathology Billing Department Coordinator will provide training on the correct use of the forms. Charges are subject to change per cost increase anually. Please contact Angela Johnson, Pathology, Billing Coordinator, at 358-2753 prior to beginning charges to assigned project number.
A wide range of routine and specialty tests using current technology and methodologies is available. New methods are continually being developed as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. It is occasionally possible to develop methods specifically for a study. Pathology faculty and staff are available to provide advice on suitability of testing in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine and Anatomic Pathology.UHS Lab

Once time frames have been agreed upon for an individual study we will assure that it meets its deadlines without compromising the laboratory testing schedule performance. The turn around time will depend on the nature of the analyses.
A variety of approaches to result reporting are available to the investigator. The Laboratory Research Coordinator will assure that the results are provided by the method agreed upon by the investigator and the laboratory.
The University Health System Laboratories have internal quality control systems and also participate in various external proficiency testing programs. Laboratory personnel are highly trained and qualified. All departments in the laboratory have independent quality control assurance programs. The UHS Laboratories are accredited and are regularly inspected by several accrediting agencies.
